In case of an accident or sudden illness, call for an ambulance or the police free-of-charge from any phone: 112.
Pharmacies are usually open from 10:00-19:00 in major shopping centres. The pharmacy on the Town Hall Square in the Town Hall building is open 24/7.

Estonia has become famous for its abundance of free, public Wi-Fi, which is available in nearly every café, restaurant, hotel and hostel, as well in open spaces such as city squares and parks.

Most banks are open from 9:00 to 18:00 on weekdays.
Major credit cards are widely accepted throughout the country. Automatic teller machines (ATMs) are easily found in Tartu and other cities.

Right on the Town Hall Square, there are two souvenir stores conveniently in the city centre: Saare Hobu Käsitööpood (address Raekoja Plats 8) and the Rae Käsitöö (address Küüni 2).
